Pinola ("we", "our", or "us") is a travel map application that allows users to share places they've visited and discover where their friends have traveled. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

Account information — your name and email address, provided when you sign up via Firebase Authentication.
Profile information — optional profile photo and username you choose to add.
Location data — geographic coordinates you attach to posts. We do not track your location in the background.
Content — photos and text you upload when creating posts.
Usage and crash data — anonymous crash reports and error logs collected via Sentry to help us fix bugs.

2. How We Use Your Information

To create and manage your account.
To display your posts on the map for your followers.
To allow you to view posts from people you follow.
To diagnose technical issues and improve app stability.

We do not use your data for advertising. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

3. Third-Party Services

Pinola uses the following third-party services that may process your data:

Firebase (Google) — authentication and data storage. Governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
Sentry — crash reporting. Error logs may include device type and app version. Governed by Sentry's Privacy Policy.

4. Data Sharing

Your posts and profile are visible to other Pinola users according to your privacy settings. We do not share your personal information with any other third parties except as required by law.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may delete your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at the email below.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you.
Request correction or deletion of your data.
Withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account.

7. Children's Privacy

Pinola is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via the app or email.
